Welcome to FarmMap, a free online resource designed to help keep Pennsylvania's farmland working. FarmMap provides a place to advertise available farmland so landowners and farmers can find the land to buy, sell or lease and keep valuable farmland in production. Agricultural land can be lost to other uses when landowners who do not plan to farm their land any longer cannot find a farmer to take over. FarmMap provides an easy way for farmers and landowners to connect and keep valuable agricultural land in production which in turn helps assure a viable future for Pennsylvania agriculture.

FarmMap is a free service provided by the Penn State Cooperative Extension Geospatial Technologies Program, the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the Center for Farm Transitions.

The Center for Farm Transitions is a pool of resources, coordinated by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, to assist farmers in planning for transitions. The mission of the Center is to provide information, referrals and consultations to farmers, for plans that will secure and maintain farming’s important role in Pennsylvania’s economy.
